Erpolacco : Wonderful site!!! ( 14/06/2003 à 16:53 ) Hi, i'm Andrea Di Cencio, an italian student of geology in Chieti university (Italy). I'm studying ammonites for my last paper and become graduated in paleontological stratigraphic geology on the next July (in the middle), i wish... My teacher is Professor Giovanni Pallini (do u know him?) I found this site for casuality and i surf on it every day yet... because it is very and very interesting and nice to see... And i'd like ask u a question.... Why don't u speak never of Tmetoceras scissum? and In which domain ur ammonites lived, only northeuropean or in a mixed zone between that one and mediterrian? I thank u for ur time and ur site... and i say u good bye Andrea Di Cencio |
Hervé : Thanks ( 15/06/2003 à 20:08 ) I will also write an e-mail. Here is a summary: I don't speak about Tmetoceras scissum because there's no Tmetoceras scissum in my collection yet. Only ammonites from my collection are figured here and I don't own every species ;-). Furthermore, my Toarcian ammonites are mainly french, therefore from the NW European region (which includes Great Britain, France, Germany, and a part of Spain). Only a few species are common with the Mediterranean region. Hope I will get more "foreign" material in the future. |

Hervé : () ( 14/04/2006 à 21:12 ) Thank you. It appears that I have to review my Hammatoceratidae (pictures + text). I'm tagging this message as a reminder. Best Regards |
